Monthly Coaching
Have you ever thought “hey I want to do freelance writing!” and then thought “ugh God I don’t even know where to start and also maybe I’m terrible.” You might need a coach to help you get started.
My coaching program gives you the accountability you need to keep going and get a job that truly supports you.
In a month, you'll have your resume revamped, cover letters ready, specs done, and you’ll be actively seeking (and possibly getting) flexible work.
My current students have already written multiple pieces, reached out to major publications, and are already more comfortable with the world of freelance jobs. One student got a paid offer from her very first pitch! All with no previous writing samples.
“When I do stuff with you it seems so simple!!” - Marco, current student
Could they have done it without me? Of course. But I made it easy.
Instead of getting overwhelmed with all the possibilities and letting those shitty brain voices convince you that you’re not good enough, you can get guidance, education, and motivation to express yourself and make some cash.
One month of coaching includes:
A one-hour private coaching session - Figure out your interests, what you need to get started, and a plan to make that happen.
1 30-minute coaching session - Answer questions & keep you moving forward.
Unlimited writing notes - Think your cover letter is weird? Wonder if your essay is good? Feel like you forgot how to write and just need someone to tell you you’re good? I’ll read anything you send me and deliver you a video with notes. The video makes it easy to digest, makes the notes easier to implement, and you get to see many of my cool earrings.
Unlimited emails - Ask all the questions! Freelancing can be confusing and I’m always there to make it easier.
Freelance 101 Guidebook - The ins and outs of freelance writing. Includes tons of examples including 13 pages of real pitches that sold.
Pitch and Resume Templates - Fill-in-the-blanks and your pitches and freelance writing resume is ready to go.
Students are already getting work. Jamie sold a piece about air fryers to Apartment Therapy. Jocelyne sold an article about podcasts to Thrillist for $275. Aimee sold her first personal essay for $500.
Guess how many published samples these students had? Zero.
Guess how long it took? One month.
Feel free to continue thinking about maybe starting writing someday, possibly, maybe.
Or get a plan to get started now.
